Who are LASU?

LASU are a Salisbury based organisation who provide services designed specifically for individuals who are affected by someone else's alcohol or drug use. Our group meets weekly in Salisbury offering support to family members and loved ones of an addict.

Substance use affects the lives of those living alongside in a range of both practical and emotional ways. This can create increased levels of stress and anxiety for people as they seek to find solutions and try to cope with the many issues that arise. It can also create isolation as the stigmas that can surround substance use and addiction cause people to remain silent and keep the secret. Talking to others can offer immense support, reduce isolation and help to build a range of healthier coping strategies.
