“I first came to the support group several years ago when I realised I was getting completely lost within my loved ones alcoholism. I knew I needed help but didn’t know what to do or where to start. I felt like I was desperate, at my lowest point, not knowing how to cope anymore. When I first attended the group it was such a relief to be able to say what ever I needed to without the fear of being judged or it being repeated. It was comforting to be among people who had similar experiences and were interested in how I was. Going to the group sent me on a voyage of self discovery and helped me understand where I wanted to be in my loved ones journey and what I was responsible for. I now continue to attend regularly so that I can help others who are stuck on the rollercoaster ride of living with addiction.”
